Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Johnson, 95, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Sam Emanuel officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday a Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnson, a former manager at Wolfe Brothers Department Store, homemaker and member of Memorial Methodist Methodist Church (50 plus years) passed away Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Hickory Manor Nursing Home. Ruth never met a stranger. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Sunny South Chapter #12.
She is survived by a sister, Betty Smith of North Little Rock, AR; two brothers, Ray Camp of Little Rock, AR, Ernest Camp of Charlotte, NC and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Johnson; parents, Andrew and Ella Howell Camp and five brothers and sisters.
Honorary pallbearers are members of the Mt. Gerezim Masonic Lodge.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to her dedicated and faithful friend, Joyce Rainbolt; Dr. Robert E. Lyon and staff, Morehouse General Hospital and staff; Hickory Manor Nursing Home and staff and the staff of Premier Hospice Care.
