Funeral services for Mr. Charles Morgan Kelley, Jr., age 81, Farmerville, LA formerly of Bastrop, are scheduled for 11 AM Monday, June 25, 2012 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Promise Land Cemetery, Hamburg, AR. Mr. Kelley, a retiree of South Central Bell, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012. Mr. Kelley was saved at an early age at Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church, Hamburg, AR and is presently a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, Cross Roads, LA. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting gardening and was an avid Razorback fan. Mr. Kelley served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War as a Military Police officer. He was active in the South Central Bell Telephone Pioneer Club. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Mr. Kelley is survived by his wife, Jean Barnett Kelley of Farmerville; daughter, Camille Gates and husband Dusty of Farmerville, LA; sisters, Bonnie Kelley of Little Rock, AR, Martha Lauhon and husband Dale of Hamburg, AR; brother, Billy F. Kelley and wife Audrey of Hamburg, AR; grandchildren, Kelley Gates of Farmerville, LA, Morgan Lowery and husband Kyle of Sterlington, LA; one great granddaughter, Sadie Lowery of Sterlington, LA and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, C. Morgan Kelley and Frances Stell Kelley and brother, J.D. Kelley. Pallbearers will be; Jimmy McDaniel, Eric McDaniel, Danny Kelley, Jeff Foster, Ray Hebert, Kyle Lowery and Kelley Gates. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 2PM - 4PM at Golden Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Promise Land Cemetery at 318 Ashley 131, Hamburg, AR 71646 or the American Cancer Fund.
