Graveside services for Mrs. Ethel A. Chance, age 80, are scheduled for 11a.m. Thursday at the Mer Rouge Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Yocum officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9-10:30 a.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Chance, a farmer, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012. She was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rosco Chance; her parents, Harvey James Carney, Sr. and Mertie Carney; and her brother, Dennis Carney.
Mrs. Chance is survived by her sister, Florence Eskew of Bastrop, LA; her brothers, Harvey James Carney, Jr. of Bastrop, LA, Floyd Carney of Bastrop, LA, and Virgil Carney of Bastrop, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
