Obituary of Troy L. Hall

Funeral services for Mr. Troy L. Hall, 79, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2007 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Revs. Jimmie Herring and Dale Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hall, a retired employee of International Paper Company, U.S. Navy veteran and founding member of Second Ward Hunting Club, passed away Friday, October 25, 2007 at Morehouse General Hospital. He attended Hillview Freewill Baptist Church and was a part-time inventor. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Haltom Hall; daughter, Aleta Burns and husband Roy of Bastrop, LA; three sons, Troy W. Hall and wife Sharon, Danny Hall and wife Cheryl, Pat Hall and wife Becky all of Bastrop, LA; sister, Lillian Graves of Bastrop, LA; six Grandchildren, Greg Hall and wife Angel of Bastrop, LA, Casey Hall and wife Holley of Bastrop, LA, Courtney DeVall and husband Jay of Lake Charles, LA, Lindsey Murry and husband Heath of Bastrop, LA, Annah Hall of ElDorado, AR, Ryan Hall of Bastrop, LA and seven great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be: Greg Hall, Casey Hall, Ryan Hall, Heath Murry, Jay DeVall and Shawn Graves. Honorary pallbearers will be: Wayne Warner, John Lang and Dr. Carter Cox, Jr.. Mr. Hall's family wishes to express a special thanks to the Premier Hospice staff, Peggy Skains and Andrea Brandon. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Golden Funeral Home.
