Obituary of Irene Tate

Graveside services for Mrs. Irene Tate, age 79, are scheduled for 4 PM Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Red Wing Cemetery, Goodwill, LA, with Bro. Tim Post officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 3 PM at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Tate, a retired teacher, passed away September 5, 2012. She was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church where she was a substitute Sunday School teacher. She was a very caring and giving person who loved her family and thought of everyone before herself. Mrs. Tate is survived by her husband A. G. Tate; sisters, Billie Kimball, Shirley Goodman and husband Jerry all of Bastrop, LA; brothers, John Tackett and wife Ann, Earl Tackett and wife Sonja all of Bastrop; Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Tildy Tackett, one brother, Walter Tackett. Honorary pallbearers will be: Gary Kimball, Rickey Tackett, Kevin Tackett, Michael Tackett and Mitch Tackett.
