Obituary of Loretta Sue Riles

Funeral services for Mrs. Loretta Sue Riles, age 62, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Meridian Baptist Church with Rev. Gayle Riles and Rev. Kevin McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 4-7 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Riles, a homemaker and resident of Bastrop, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012. She was a member of Meridian Baptist Church. Mrs. Riles dearly loved her Lord and her grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, pastor's wife, and was also an excellent cook. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Maudie Turner, and three sisters, Vivian Sears, Pearl Cox, and Joyce Williams. Mrs. Riles is survived by her husband of 45 years, Rev. Gayle Riles; two daughters, Dana Brown and husband Greg of Dallas, TX, Wanda Rush and husband Robert of Crossett, AR; son, Steven Riles and wife Angela of Ft. Worth, TX; two sisters, Lillian Collier of Santa Clara, CA, Lana Smith and husband Claude of Bastrop, LA; two brothers, Bernie Turner and wife Mary of Bastrop, LA, Kirby Turner of Bastrop, LA; and five grandchildren, Ryan Rush, Emily Rush, Elissa Brown, Abi Riles, and Adison Riles. Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Brown, Robert Rush, Ryan Rush, Kevin Smith, Brian Smith, and Ken Smith. Honorary pallbearer will be Keith Smith.
