Obituary of Harold Dean Freeman

Funeral services for Mr. Harold Dean Freeman, age 78, will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Reverend Chad Ballard officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 8 PM Tuesday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Freeman, a resident of Bastrop and a retired mail carrier, was a member of Greenacres Baptist Church. He served his country while in the Navy in the Korean War, and enjoyed yard work, sitting in the swing on the back porch and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Freeman is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet Travis Freeman; his daughter, Rebecca Anne Hall and husband Pat of Bastrop, LA; his son, Patrick Dean Freeman and wife Jenea of West Monroe, LA; his sister, Janis Kay Freeman of Bastrop, LA; his brother, Frankie Gene Freeman and wife Clara of Crowville, LA; his grandchildren, Annah Hall White and husband Justin of Sterlington, LA, Ryan Hall of Sterlington, LA, and Seth, Brylee, and Dean Freeman all of West Monroe, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Julius Freeman, Jr., and Joel Ray Freeman, and his sisters, Judy Diane Freeman and Velda Sue Freeman. Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Hall, Justin White, Jeff Freeman, Seth Freeman, Pat Hall, and Walter Bonner. Honorary pallbearers are; Dr. Scott Barron, Dr. Elias Jabbour, Dr. Mike Smith, Rev. Royce Christmas, Wandall Coody, Doyle Hindmon and Rev. Dennis Anger.
