Graveside services for Mrs. Melba Vanderberg Yeldell, age 89, and about to celebrate her 90th birthday, of Swartz, LA, will be held at 3 PM Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Yeldell, a homemaker, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at her residence. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her children and family and also meeting people. Mrs. Yeldell was a United States Navy "Wave" veteran of World War II.
She is survived by daughter, Melba Jean Yeldell of Monroe, LA; sons, Hubert Yeldell and Diane Eubanks of West Monroe, LA, Gary Vanderberg of Tensas, LA; sisters, Charlene Fagone of Seattle, WA, Verna Smith of Mena, AR; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Yeldell is preceded in death by her son, Larry Robert Vanderberg; husband, Hubert Allen Yeldell, Sr.; brother, Bud Dodd and parents, Walter and Alma Dodd.
