Obituary of Sophia Elizabeth Holland

Funeral services for Sophia Elizabeth Holland, age 97, will be held 2 PM Thursday, September 13, 2012, at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Reverend Derrell Holland and Pastor Dalyn Helbling officiating. Interment will follow at Red Wing Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5PM until 8PM Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Holland was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of God.
She is survived by her daughter, Geraldean Duchesne and husband Leo of Monroe, LA; her sons, Ralph Holland and wife Karon of Pine Bluff, AR, Derrell Holland and wife Patricia of Sterlington, LA, and Ronnie Joe Holland and wife Gay of Mer Rouge, LA; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Holland is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Holland; her sons, Phillip Ray Holland and Tony Holland; her grandson, Ronald Douglas Vining; three sisters and two brothers.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Joseph Holland, Josh Holland, and Scott Holland; and Clifford Petty, Larry Bonner and Andy Myrick.
Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be her grandson Kelly L. Vining, Jr.
