Obituary of Jr. Jacob

Funeral services for Walter Z. Jacob, Jr., 78, of Bastrop, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005 at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Jacob, a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, passed away, Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Bobbye June Jacob; two daughters, Rhonda Gayle Johnson and husband Roger of Bastrop, Cheryl Ann McCrary and husband Randy of Bastrop; seven grandchildren, Jessica Hammersla, Megan Johnson, Jarred Jacob, Lindsey Jacob, Sydney Jacob Bolin, Casey McCrary, Jacob McCrary; three great grandchildren, Tyler Johnson, Aisylnn Johnson and Bryce Dew Johnson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Z. Jacob, Sr.; four sisters, Margaret Myers, Erma Myers, Alma Dollar, Newlyn Elkins; son, David Walter Jacob and grandson, Jeremiah Rush Johnson. Pallbearers are: Max Dollar, Jr., Keith Dollar, John Terrell Brodnax, Gary Stout, Baxter Morris and Jon Morris. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home.
