Obituary of James D. Sanders

Funeral services for James D. Sanders, age 80, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday July 4, 2005 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Revs. Billy Stewart and Dayln Helbling officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Mr. Sanders, a retired mechanic and a resident of Bastrop, passed away Friday July 1, 2005 at St. Francis Medical Center. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Sanders was a member of the First Church of God in Bastrop and a member and treasurer of the Tillou Hunting Club. He is preceded in death by his father, James Monroe Sanders; mother, Ethel Annie Rallinson Sanders; and brother, Roscoe Sanders. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lillie Louise Sanders; seven children, Delois Austin & husband Carroll of Kingsland, AR, Lynn H. Sanders & wife Edna of Bastrop, Linda H. Bonner of Bastrop, Donna G. Hunt & husband Billy of Bastrop, Wanda Johnson & husband Donald of Bluffton, S.C., Robin Wallace & husband Donald of Bastrop, and Terrie Robinson & husband Mark of Bastrop; two sisters, Mildred Morphis of Lake Village, AR, and Doris Fesler of Cedar Vale, KS; two brothers, Clifford Sanders of Hall Summit, LA, and Eufa D. Sanders of Oak Grove, LA; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons, David Hunt, Garrett Sanders, Eric Robinson, Justin Robinson, Michael Johnson, Chad Johnson, Don Johnson, Joshua Stewart, Caleb Stewart, and Wade Bonner.
