Funeral services for Robert L. "Blue" Rallinson, Jr., 62, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Carter, Rev. Kyle Peters, and Rev. J.R. Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Mer Rouge Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Blue, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 after a brief illness. He was a contractor for 40 years. He enjoyed deer and raccoon hunting and spending time with his friends. Blue was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church for many years where he was a Sunday School teacher. He enjoyed serving the Lord by going on mission trips and will be remembered as a man who loved his family, his grandchildren, and his dog "Shine". Blue is preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Rallinson, Sr. and W. Verna Mae Rallinson, and two sisters, Phyllis Rallinson and Debbie Rallinson Waid. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Shelia Rallinson; daughter, Ashley Womack and husband Chad of Bastrop, LA; son, Justin Rallinson and wife Rhonda of Bastrop, LA; brother, Sam Rallinson of Bastrop, LA; four grandchildren, Makayla Rallinson, Landri Womack, Collin Lebrun, Emery Lebrun; brother-in-law, Jerry Martin; and four nephews, Jessie Waid, Jacob Waid, Kris Rallinson, and Kurt Rallinson. Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin James, Paul Domino, Chris McDonald, Jason Doles, Brian Clark, Trey Eldridge, Tripp Chorette, and Dustin Deere. Honorary pallbearers will be Men's One Sunday School Class. The family has requested that memorials may be made to Cherry Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund.
