Funeral services for Ms. Jeanne Lucile Oliver, 77, of Bastrop are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Father James Dominic officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Ms. Oliver, a retired public and private school teacher, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and many other organizations, among them, the DAR, UDC and BMPW. Ms. Oliver was also active in the Tri Sigma Sorority, Girl Scouts of America and many other church and community functions.
She is survived by two brothers, Hugh Edward Oliver and wife Jane of Gainsville, GA, Neal Louis Oliver and wife Joyce of Fort Worth, TX; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Ms. Oliver is preceded in death by her parents, Neal T. Oliver and Lucile Gaudin Oliver.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
