Funeral services for Mr. Jessie "Jake" Hicks, 84, of Collinston, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Ronaghan officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery.
Mr. Hicks, a member of the Baptist faith, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Morehouse General Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Flora Hicks; three daughters, Pat Aldridge and husband Mike of Dover, AR, Betty Jones of Collinston, LA, Carole Davis and husband Tim of Collinston, LA; three sisters, Shirley Freeman and husband Wallace of West Monroe, LA, Eddie Delamar and husband George of Bastrop, LA, Debbie Baker of Round Rock, TX; three brothers, Louis Hicks of Waskom, TX, Ronnie Hicks of Mer Rouge, LA, Eddie Hicks of Jones, LA; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Mr. Hicks is preceded in death by two sons, James and Larry Hicks and two grandsons, Eddie Wyatt and Jessie Hicks.
Serving as pallbearers are: Wayne Gilbreath, Brandon Gilbreath, Barry McMilleon, Johnny Ray Freeman, Gerald Lester and Ed Jones.
Honorary pallbearers are: Jerry Oser and Jeff McLeod.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Golden Funeral Home.
