Obituary of Buna Breland

Funeral services for Buna Johnson Breland, 81 , of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2004 at the Cherry Ridge Baptist Church with the Revs. Jim Taylor, Cecil Gregory, and Charles Dupree officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Breland died Thursday, June 3, 2004 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care in Bastrop. She was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church and also a Registered Nurse. She is survived by her husband, Jim Breland ;daughter, Dottie McCain of Bastrop; son, James T. Breland and wife Debbie of St. Amant, LA ;sister, Grace Johnson Gilman of Laplace, LA;brother, C.L. Johnson,Sr. and wife Peggy of West Monroe, LA; four grandchildren, Brandon Breland and wife Selena of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ashley Carter and husband John of Bastrop, Jessica LeBlanc and husband John of Baton Rouge, LA, and Amelie Breland of St. Amant, LA; 3 great grandchildren, Jake Breland, Layton Hammersla, and Kaylea Breland; special friends, J.H. and Larue Lockwood and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her Mom and Dad, Lottie and Tom Johnson; sister, Bertie Ellen Eldridge;2 brothers, Ira Johnson and T.C. Johnson. Pallbearers will be Gene Eldridge, Gary Breland, Louis Breland, Jonathan Lanius, Jerold Murrell and Jimmy Doyle McCain. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday at Golden Funeral Home.
