Funeral services for Mr. Eddie L. Hayes, Jr., age 66, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Dr. L.H. McCollough officiating. Interment will follow in Hughes Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Hayes, a retired State of Louisiana employee and member of Bethel Baptist Church, passed away January 13, 2011 at Louisiana Extended Care Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Trippe Hayes; mother, Cecil Mae Hayes of Bastrop, LA; daughter, Cara Dawn Hayes of Bastrop, LA; son, Christopher Hayes and wife Tina of Bastrop, LA; sister, Patricia Miller and husband James of Farmerville, LA and granddaughter, Lauren Hayes of Bastrop, LA.
Mr. Hayes is preceded in death by his father, Rev. E.L. Hayes, Sr.
Serving as pallbearers are: Dexter Bryan, Terrell Hawkins, Butch Musgrove, Todd Musgrove, Kevin Chain and Tim Post.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Jr.
