Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Paula Lyvone Harlon Hughes, 59, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Hughes Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the family's residence which is located at 5417 Jim Robinson Rd., in Bastrop.
Mrs. Hughes, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, passed away December 13, 2007 at her residence. She was a nurse and she completed her nursing degree in August of 1982.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas E. Hughes; seven children, Ronnie Chunn and wife Jennifer of Pennsylvania, Donna Thibodeaux and husband Matt of Lafayette, LA, Shannon Hughes and wife Sherry of Monroe, LA, Leigh Edwards and husband Lance of Swartz, LA, Marissa Boyd and husband Brent of Calhoun, LA, Megan Hughes of Rocky Branch, LA and Miranda Hughes of Monroe, LA; two sisters, Patsy Ruth Hobson of Bastrop and Mintie Lue Butler and husband Robert of Clinton, AR; twelve grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hughes is preceded in death by parents, Harvey and Pearlene Harlon.
