Obituary of Annese E. Rogers Crew

Funeral services for Mrs. Annese E. Rogers Crew, age 100, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Christ Episcopal Church with Father Jim Benbrook and Father Errol Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Crew, a homemaker, member of Christ Episcopal Church and the Daughters of the Confederacy, passed away Monday, December 17, 2007 at Summerlin Lane Nursing Home. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Jane Saxon of Fort Worth, TX; son, Louis C. Crew,Jr. and wife Mary T. Crew of Bethel, Alaska; sister, Jane Shell Plummer of Ferriday, LA; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Crew is preceded in death by her husband, Louis C. Crew,Sr.; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Crew Dixon; sister, Millicent Shell; parents, Joseph Henry Rogers and Jennie Rosalie Harrington Rogers and step father, S. Ben Shell. Serving as pallbearers are: Ben Crew Saxon, Ray T. Crew, Steve Lemen and Tom P. Dixon. Honorary pallbearers are: Jeffery Sadler, James Madison and Neal Adams. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home.
