Obituary of Opal Lucy Blood Book

Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Lucy Blood Book, 88, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2007 at Central Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove South Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Book, a homemaker and member of Central Missionary Baptist Church, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Le Grand Health and Rehabilitation Center. She is survived by four sons, Richard Book and wife Virginia "Jean" of Bastrop, LA, Louis Clyde Book, Jr. and wife Tonya of Bastrop, LA, George Book and wife Barbara of Bastrop, LA, John Book of Bastrop, LA; two sisters, Sadie Campbell of Bastrop, LA, Dorothy Williams of Bastrop, LA; brother, Paul Blood of Jonesboro, LA; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Mrs. Book is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Book, Sr.; daughter, Shirley Wyatt; grandson, David Book; parents, George and Lucy Blood and several brothers and sisters. Serving as pallbearers are: Ron Book, Louis Book, Perry Book, Jerry Bolin, Charlie Laseter, Gary Laseter and Roger Anderson. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at Golden Funeral Home.
