Funeral services for Mr. Raymond L. Singley, 82, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. William Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Singley, a retired employee of International Paper Company and farmer, passed away Monday, December 24, 2007 at Cornerstone Hospital in West Monroe. He is a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, the Paper Makers Union and is a Navy veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his daughter, Lela Gertrude Simmons of Pine Bluff, AR; four sons, John Albert Singley of the Vaughn Community, LA, Michael Ray Singley of Sterlington, LA, Harrell Dean Singley of Vivian, LA, Darrell Gene Singley of Vivian, LA; brother Huey Singley of Bastrop, LA; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Mr. Singley is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lillian Singley.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2007 at Golden Funeral Home.
