Funeral services for Nona Lee Bennett Halford are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday August 19, 2005 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Couch officiating. Burial will follow in Bartholomew Cemetery. Mrs. Halford, age 66, passed away August 16, 2005 at North Monroe Hospital. She was a resident of Bastrop and a retired Morehouse Parish school bus driver.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elton Ray Halford; twin daughters, Geraldine Halford and Gerald Wayne Halford; and mother, Bernice Morgan.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Heath & husband William "Cooter" Heath, Penny LaNell Johnson & husband Craig Johnson, and Mary Brown & husband George Allen Brown, Jr.; two sons, Donnie Halford & wife Betty Halford and Chris Halford & wife Roxanne Halford; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and special friend, Euell Sudduth, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Victor Kennedy, Ricky Andrews, Jimmy Arnaud, Richard Carpenter, Eric Heath, and Steve Marler.
Visitation will be Thursday at Golden Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m.
