Funeral services for Gladys Baker Freeland, 91, of Jefferson City, TN, formerly of Bastrop, will be at 2 PM Saturday, August 20, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmie Herring officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Freeland, a homemaker, died Thursday, August 18, 2005 in Jefferson City, TN, and was a member of Bonita Road Baptist Church.
Mrs. Freeland is survived by her husband, Earl Freeland of Bastrop; 2 daughters, Clarice Burchfield & husband Freddie of Talbott, TN, Portia Mantooth & husband Butch of Parrottsville, TN; 2 sons, Clarence T. Baker of Texas, James M. Baker & wife Buffy of South Carolina; 2 step daughters, Avanell Bennett & husband John of Bastrop, Becky Morrison & husband Wendell of Bastrop; 2 step sons, Jerry Freeland & wife Glenda of Bastrop, James Freeland & wife Ruth of Bastrop; sister-in-law, Alma Barr of Rayville; brother-in-law, Willis Freeland & wife Charlene of Bastrop; and numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James M. & Ethel Dean Collins.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 20, 2005 from 12 noon till service time at Golden Funeral Home.
