Graveside funeral services for Elsie Dickinson Montgomery, age 82, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday August 28, 2005 at Hughes Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Kinney and Rev. Allan Eppinette officiating. Mrs. Montgomery, a homemaker and resident of Beekman, passed away Friday August 26, 2005 at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Rosco Montgomery; two daughters, Ida Gentry of Beekman and Martha Pennington & husband Lurrell of Crossett, AR; three sons, Henry "Buddy" Montgomery & wife Beulah "Bebe" of Beekman, Gene Montgomery & wife Pam of Bastrop, and Terry Montgomery & wife Terri Lynn of Beekman; sister, Mattie Lea Hughes of Knoxville, TN; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren and very good friend, Thelma Hughes.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rosco Gregory, James Gregory, Shane Montgomery, Craig Montgomery, Jamey Pennington, and Scotty Pennington. Honorary pallbearers will be James Franks and Nathan Lee.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 5-9 at Golden Funeral Home.
