Funeral service for Jimmy "J.B." Raus, 70, of Monroe, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Mer Rouge Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Raus, retired from the Golf Industry after 54 years and had also retired from the Chenault Golf Course, passed away Monday, August 29, 2005 at his residence. He was a very loving, compassionate, and caring man.
He is survived by two sisters, Lois Warren of Monroe, LA, Johnnie O'Neil and husband Charles of Uncertain, TX; two brothers, Richard Raus and wife Cora of Indianapolis, IN, Charles "Buck" Raus and wife Linda of Sterlington, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a very special friend and companion Jimmie Quinn and her family.
Mr. Raus is preceded in death by his parents, John and Alma Lee Raus and brother, Fred Raus.
Pallbearers will be Mac Anderson, Bill Baker, John Buatt, John McAdams, Don Sims, Van Lee, Charles Sisk and Steve Sawyer.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2005 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Charity of your choice.
