Obituary of Marshall Bryan

Funeral services for Mr. Marshall Bryan, age 88, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. L.H. McCollough officiating. Interment will follow in Tillou Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Bryan was born September 2, 1924 in Milo, AR. He passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012. He was a WWII Air Force veteran having served as a ball turret gunner. He retired from Sligh Furniture in Zeeland, Michigan in 1991 at which time he and his wife Earline returned home to Bastrop. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Earline Bryan; son-in-law, Paul Urban; parents, Ebben and Elvira Bryan; sisters, Elsie Bryan Lowrey, Edith Bryan Freeland, Ruby Nell Bryan Riles, Virginia Bryan Boyd; and brothers, Calvin Bryan, Troy Bryan, and James Bryan.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie Whitehead Bryan; children, James Southern and wife Evelyn, Betty Urban, Carol Klemple and husband Dan, Keith Bryan and wife Denise, Louis Whitehead, Evelyn Romaine; sister, Mary Alice Harper and husband Nolan; 18 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 16 great great grandchildren.
