A memorial service for Marjorie Nielsen, age 88, has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday September 7, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church in Bastrop under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 9 a.m. until service at the church. Mrs. Nielsen, a retired receptionist from International Paper Company, passed away Sunday September 4, 2005 at North Monroe Hospital.
She was a resident of Bastrop for the past 55 years and an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Vikki Sims and her husband Don of Bastrop; two grandchildren, Mare Brennan and husband Steve of Monroe, Cole Sims & wife Paige of Bastrop; six great grandchildren, Madison Brennan, Blaine Brennan, Barrie Brennan, Patton Sims, Sarah Jane Sims, and Mollie Frances Sims.
She is preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Perry, Leonard Jenkins, Charles Wall, and Elva Humphreys.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Bastrop.
