Obituary of Billy Wayne McCready

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Wayne McCready, age 79, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Central Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Bonita Cemetery. Mr. McCready, a retired International Paper Company employee, passed away November 29, 2012. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, and an avid hunter and fisherman. He served in the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Faye McCready; children, Brenda Turner, Phillip McCready and wife Debbie, Tim Howington and wife Kathy, Mike Edmoundson, LeAnne Edmoundson Watt and husband Shannon, DeAnne Edmoundson Shaver and husband Randy; sister, Joan Lowery; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Floy and S.G. Tisdale; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Opal and Emory Pamplin; grandchildren, Aaron McCready, Caleb McCready, Cara Neblett, Nina Turner, Michael Howington, Jay Howington, Taylor Edmoundson, Paige Edmoundson, Madison Edmoundson, Jake Edmoundson, Jordan Hall, Chance Gulledge, Blake Overbey and Chad Overbey and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. McCready is preceded in death by his wife, Merlyn Knight McCready and parents, Orville and Ozell McCready. Serving as pallbearers will be Wilton Halterman, Raymond Westbrook, Billy Croswell, Clifford Jordan, Lynn Moore, Brad Henderson, Jeff Maxwell, Michael Dark. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Jordan, Parker "Catfish" Jordan, Central Missionary Baptist Men's Sunday School Class "Social Security Hounds", and men of Gravel Ridge Hunting Club. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 5 PM - 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Central Missionary Baptist Church.
