Funeral services for John K. "Johnny" Chunn Sr., 60, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2008 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Chunn a retired employee of the Morehouse Parish Highway Department passed away suddenly Thursday, January 24, 2008 at his residence. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved woodworking and arts and crafts that he made for the Wishing Well Gift Shop.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Marcia Chunn; two daughters, Donna Chunn Thibodeaux and husband Matt of Lafayette, LA, Angel H. Cooper and husband Keith of Bastrop,LA; two sons, Ronnald K. Chunn and wife Jennifer of Pennsylvania, John "Kenny" Chunn, Jr. and friend Greg Cupit of Las Cruces, NM; two sisters, Kathleen Chunn Rouse and husband Leonard of Vicksburg, MS, Carolyn Chunn Lear and husband Don of Conroe, TX; one brother James Ronald Chunn and wife Anne of Columbus, MS; six grandchildren, Marissa Cooper, MiKayla Cooper, Josh Chunn, Seth Jones, Cain Chunn, Aaron Chunn; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Henry Chunn and Zona Pearl Chunn Cole and a son Dennis Hall.
Serving as pallbearers are: Danny Rouse, Mike Rouse, Paul Rouse, Robbie Clark, Jonathan Overton and Robby Jackson.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Jimmy Thomas and Keith Cooper.
Visitation will be held from 2 pm until 9 pm Saturday at Golden Funeral Home.
