Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Walker, 83, a lifelong resident of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2005 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Revs. Bob Lonadier and Steve Speer officiating. Interment will follow in Carter cemetery.
Mrs. Walker, a homemaker, died Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at Morehouse General Hospital. She will be greatly and sadly missed by all.
She is survived by her husband, James E. Walker; three sons, Larry Walker of Bastrop,LA, Joel Walker of Pensacola, FL, Gary Walker and wife Becky of Monroe, LA; two sisters, Thelma Adams and Hazel Carpenter; nine grandchildren, Carla Perry, Steve Walker, Wade Walker, Mark Walker, Chad Walker, Mindy Walker, Susan Petty, Beth Courson and Janet Crowe; sixteen great grandchildren; two great great granchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Walker is preceded in death by her parents, Garrison and Katie Dickerson and a brother, G.F. Dickerson.
Serving as pallbearers are: Mark Walker, Chad Walker, Cody Walker, John Whit, Johnny Wilson and Delbert Sisk.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home.
