Obituary of Russell E. Colson

Russell E. Colson, age 49, of Altheimer, AR, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Mr. Colson was born October 19, 1958, in Pine Bluff, AR, a son of Emmett Eugene and Betty Jean Winnon Colson. He was reared and received his education in Pine Bluff, AR, where he graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1977. Mr. Colson was employed as a pipe fitter. He was currently working for Fagen Construction Company, where he had worked for four years. He was a member of the Glendale Hunting Club. He is survived by a son, Jason B. Colson of Altheimer, AR; two daughters, Emily Renee Colson of Conway, AR, and Amy Lynn Colson of Altheimer, AR; step-daughter, Erica Spradlin of White Hall, AR; brother, Thomas Lynn Colson of White Hall, AR; parents, Emmett Eugene Colson and Betty Jean Winnon Colson; one step grandchild; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by a sister, Paula Kay Colson. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home, Pine Bluff, AR. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Edmonson officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Ridge Baptist Cemetery, Oak Ridge, LA, with Rev. Spillers officiating.
