Funeral services for Mrs. Lila Mae Butcher Williams, age 92, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, December 20, 2012 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Gates officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams, a member of Greenacres Baptist Church, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, December 17, 2012. Before starting her family, Mrs. Williams worked for Southern Bell Telephone Company.
She is survived by her five children, Frank Williams and wife Susan, Phillip Williams and wife Pam, Charlie Williams and wife Sherry, Peggy Williams Graves and husband Charles, Penny Williams Hart and husband Bob; ten grandchildren, Kristie Williams Humphrey, Allen Williams, Laura Graves Winkler, Lucian Graves, Dana Williams West, Stephanie Williams Thomas, Ryan Williams, Jon Ross Williams, Landon Williams, Joshua Hart, fifteen great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews that loved their Aunt Mae dearly.
Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her husband, Alon Franklin "Bunk" Williams; parents, Doshie Inez Morris Butcher and Henry Howard Butcher; sister, Ruby Pearl Butcher Williams and brother, Melvin Jackson Butcher.
Pallbearers will be: Tommy Albritton, Steve Johnson, Josh Thomas, Terry Winkler and Mike Williams. Her grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Golden Funeral Home.
