Obituary of Alma Earline Nugent

Mrs. Alma Earline "Tammie" Nugent went home in the arms of Jesus on Monday, April 2, 2007. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at First Assembly of God in Bastrop, La. with Revs. J.E. Allen and David Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Red Wing Cemetery in West Carroll Parish. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Nugent was born to Badie James and Slonnie Irene Sanders on February 29, 1924 at Oak Grove, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband of 57 years, Cedell Nugent. She is survived by two sons, Garlan Nugent and wife Candy of Bastrop, LA, Edward Nugent and wife Pam of Bastrop, LA; two daughters, Joyce Audirsch and husband Gary of Duncanville, TX, Teresa White and husband Ken of Bastrop, LA; ten grandchildren, Gary Neill Audirsch, Jacquelyne Cooper and husband Bobby, April Nugent, Bryan Nugent, Jennifer Nugent, Tammie Williams and husband John, Eric White, Chris Nugent, Tara White, Dean White; three great grandchildren; three brothers, Douglas Sanders and wife Aline of Bastrop, LA, O.C. Sanders and wife Julia of Oak Grove, LA, B.J. Sanders and wife Maxine of Jackson, MS; sister, Wilma Dell DeBlieux and husband Johnny of Bastrop, LA and a host of special nieces and nephews. Mrs. Nugent lived most of her adult life in Bastrop, LA and was a long time member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was a devoted wife and mother who delighted in her grandchildren. She loved spending time with family and friends who will miss her dearly. Serving as pallbearers will be: Eric White, Dean White, Bryan Nugent, Chris Nugent, Gary Neill Audirsch and Bobby Cooper. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Robert Lyon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Youth Building Fund at First Assembly of God.
