Obituary of Mary Joyce Pollard Townsend

Memorial services for Mrs. Mary Joyce Pollard Townsend, age 61 and resident of W. Monroe, are scheduled for Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 5 PM at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Mollie McGee officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 PM until 5 PM service time Thursday. Mrs. Townsend, member of Central Baptist Church and accountant for CenturyLink, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2012. She loved to work in her yard and take care of her parrots. She is survived by her husband Howard Townsend; her mother, Mary Virginia Pollard of Bastrop; her son, Heath Holley of San Diego, CA; her step-sons, Casey Townsend of W. Monroe, LA, Christopher Townsend and wife Amanda of W. Monroe, LA; her sisters, Helen Kelly of Bastrop, Elizabeth Solomon of Charlotte, NC, Virginia Kittredge of Carollton, TX; one granddaughter, Julianna Townsend, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Townsend is preceded in death by her father, Dr. Ted Pollard, and her sister, Laura Frances Pollard.
