Mary Lela McCready Spruill, 92, died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Collins Nursing Home in Collins, MS.
Mary was born on June 28, 1920 in Paducah, KY. She is the eldest daughter of the late James Hollis McCready and Lela McCready of Bonita, Louisiana. Mary was a kind and loving person with a generous heart. She was predeceased by her husband, Jimmy Hugh Spruill: three sons Glen Williamson of Hector, AR, Roger Wayne McLemore of Moselle, MS and Bobby Ray McLemore of MS; one sister: Hazel Louise Knight of Bastrop, and three brothers: Willis Bertrand McCready of Bonita, David Earl McCready of Bastrop and Kenneth Louis McCready of Monroe.
Mary is survived by two sons: Charles Alan McLemore of MS and James Homer McLemore of TX; one daughter: Gloria Faye McLemore of AK; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters: Jolene Faye Roper of Atkins, AR, Virginia Lois Strickland of Hector, AR and Arnell Nightingale of Las Vegas, NV; two brothers: James Ralph McCready of Bastrop, and Orvel Lee McCready of Bastrop. Mary is also survived by her caregiver, Connie Jane McLemore of Seminary, MS.
Services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 2:00 P.M at the Golden Funeral Home in Bastrop, Louisiana with Rev. Phillip McCready officiating. Interment will be in the Bonita Cemetery in Bonita, Louisiana. A visitation service for family and friends will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 7 PM until 9 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
