Obituary of Kenneth Dale Howe

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Dale Howe, 67, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Twin Oaks Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Yocum officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Twin Oaks. Mr. Howe, a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church, past President of the Beekman Water Department and past member of the Order of the Eastern Star passed away Monday, February 11, 2008 at Summerlin Lane Nursing Home. He was retired after many years in the insurance business. He is survived by his wife, Gwen Howe; daughters, Tammy-Howe-Friedman of Garland, TX, Jamie Slay and husband Gary of Cedar Hill, TX; four sons, Tracey Howe and wife Kresha of Atlanta, GA, Dale Howe of Tyler, TX, Timmothy Harrison and wife Tammy of Atlanta, GA, Stacey Harrison and wife Wanda of Abilene, TX; three sisters, Kathy Dowdell of Atkins, AR, Billie Young of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Sherlene Underwood of Van Buren, AR; brother, David Howe of Junction City, AR; grandchildren, Megan Friedman, Maddie Friedman, Makenzie Howe, Blake Howe, Bayley Howe, Cpl. Doug Slay, Jr. and wife Louisa, Chelsey Slay, Blake Dwigans, Brice Dwigans; great granddaughter, Isabella Slay and a mother in-law, Opal Owens of Bastrop, LA. Mr. Howe is preceded in death by his parents, William Howe and Evelyn Pool Howe; brother, Charles Howe and a sister, Betty Estep. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Robert E. Lyon and the staff of Premier Hospice for the special care given to Ken during his illness.
