Obituary of Billie Jean Williams Redden

Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Jean Williams Redden, age 82, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Green Acres Baptist Church with the Revs. Gerald Gates and Sammy Redden officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Redden, a retired employee of South Central Bell and devoted member of Green Acres Baptist Church, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Brenda Harris of Bastrop, LA Harvey William Redden, Jr. and wife Carol of Bastrop, LA; sisters, Rosie Cole and husband Gerald of Downsville, LA, Christine Westbrook of Bastrop, LA, Gladys McRae of Bastrop, LA, Joy Crawley and husband Richard of Lubbock, TX; grandchildren, Lisa Coburn and husband Shawn of Bastrop, LA, William Harris of Baton Rouge, LA, Melanie Harris of Bastrop, LA, Daniel William Redden of Chicot, CA, Joseph Slade Redden of Bastrop, LA, Jennifer K. West and husband Joseph of Bastrop, LA; great grandchildren, Chelsea Coburn, Casie Coburn, Raven Harris, Silas Harris, Layla Harris, Aiden Nichols, Starr Redden, Jonah West and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Redden is preceded in death by her husband Harvey William Redden, Sr. and three sisters, Margie, Dorothy and Nancy. Serving as pallbearers are: Shawn Coburn Joseph Redden, Chris Snell, Jacob Clowers, Randy Adams and Charles Brasher. The family wishes to thank Dr. Carter Cox for his assistance during Mrs. Redden's illness.
