Funeral services for Mrs. Lois West Elkins, 99, of Spearsville will be 10:00am Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Mt. Union Baptist Church, Spearsville, with Bro. Marcelle McGee and Dr. Charles Foxworth officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Union Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Elkins was born November 24, 1913 in Aurelle, AR. She was a retired farmer and homemaker. Mrs. Elkins, a member of Mt. Union Baptist Church, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Toy Elkins; parents, Furman and Mollie West; 6 brothers, Oran West, Wilmer West, Conway West, Eric West, Kenneth West and Rex West; 5 sisters, Dorothy West Salzer, Iris West Tyndall, Laverne West Pine, Lynette West Cranford, and Sylvia West.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Lane "Goose" Elkins and wife Betty Prewitt Elkins, her grandson Stan Elkins and wife Sheryl, 2 great-grandsons, Triston and Canyon Elkins and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Pine, Bill Pine, Ben West, Truett West, Tim West, Steve Jones, Dwight Tyndall, Tom Elkins, Triston Elkins, Canyon Elkins, Kenny Cranford, Steve Tyndall, Mark Tyndall, and Greg West.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Elkins, Hez Elkins, Welby Ward, Dale Rockett, and Boyce Elkins.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Monday, January 28, 2013 at the church and 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday, January 29, 2013.
