Funeral services for Mr. Gerald "Blackfoot" Taylor, age 63, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Taylor, a resident of West Monroe, LA, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Jackson Parish Hospital. He was a truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Taylor is preceded in death by two grandsons, Brian Keith Whitaker, Christopher Fletcher; and brother-in-law, Carl Reynolds.
He is survived by his wife, Nonie Taylor; daughter, Angela Wyrick; son, Gary Taylor; parents, Albert and Doris Taylor; step-sons, Eric Whitaker and wife Jamie, Carl Smith, Chuck Whitaker and wife Sandy; sister, Linda Sudduth and husband Mike; brothers, James Taylor and wife Debbie, Glenn Taylor and wife Louise; grandchildren, Jarred Fletcher, Destiny Whitaker, Brittine Whitaker, Corey Whitaker, Haven Bunch, Blake Bunch, Mason Bunch; great granddaughter, Kaylee Fletcher; sisters-in-law, Beverly Eubanks and husband Edward, Pamela McKinney and husband Keith; nephews, Douglas Taylor, Colby Sudduth, Nick Sudduth, James Taylor, John Taylor; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Whitaker, Chuck Whitaker, Barry Joiner, Wade Eubanks, Eugene Eubanks, Jarred Fletcher.
