I was so saddened to hear about Lil. I had lost contact with her about a couple of years ago and had been wondering about her. I am Merlene Stamper Garcin. Mother Lena Stamper, loved Lil very much. She was excited when she received the announcement of the first grandbaby. I would like to hear from Myrtis. I had tried to call her while I was in Dallas the weekend before Lil passed away. Again know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mrs. Remore, Dawn, Andrea, and Family, My heart goes out to you during this very difficult time. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. She was a very special friend to me. I always admired her strength, faith, and courage during the trials of life. She worked so hard and it was all for you girls. I have such fond memories of laughter, good-natured teasing, and of course great food at the Housley's. Lil's grilled steaks were the best ever and my personal favorite, Mandarin Orange Cake. I always looked forward to a Christmas card with the Housley newsletter. I don't know how she did it, but as long as she was able, she never failed to send birthday and anniversary cards. On that note, Lil was 3 days older than me and we shared that special bond. She's going to celebrate her birthday with Jesus before I do, but one day we'll have a great reunion and birthday party again. Happy Birthday, Lil Love, Shirley

Your mother was a wonderful lady. I enjoyed working with her at Ford Credit. She always had a kind and positive word to say about others. She was always willing to assist others when needed. Our prayers are with all of the family during this time.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.Words seem inadequate to express the sadness that I feel for you right now and what you must be going through. I can say that I understand your pain, because I have been through it. You will get through this each day, I promise. They say time heals, but the feeling of sorrow for the loss of a parent is a feeling that never goes away. You just have some days that are better than others. I reflected back to the days when us as kids (Dawn, Andrea and me) would attend church together, play at each others houses and have so much fun. But distinctively, I remember your mother taking all of us in the summer(in her little blue station wagon) to your grandmothers house and to the community pool. She never put herself first--it was always her children. She was the epitomy of a great mom. She loved you girls' so much, and it showed. She will be missed terribly, but know that she will be a guardian angel to you and her grandchildren. Love, Roxanne
