Obituary of Donnie Halford

Graveside services for, Donnie "Big D" Halford, 51, are scheduled for 10 AM Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at LaArk Cemetery with Rev. Bob Lonadier officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Halford was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Collinston. He was a trackhoe operator for the Morehouse Parish Highway Department. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elton Ray and Nona Lee Halford. Mr. Halford is survived by his wife of 14 years, Betty Halford, of Mer Rouge, LA; one daughter, Jessica Pittman of Texas; two step children, Michelle Davis and husband Glyn of Denham Springs, LA and Rodney Herring and wife Lindsey of Dermott, AR; three sisters, Linda Heath of Bastrop, LA, Mary Brown of Bastrop, LA, and Penny Halford Johnson of Bastrop, LA; one brother Chris Halford of Bonita, LA; five grandchildren, Elton, Gabriel, Ethan, Ewan and Ian Pittman; and two step grandchildren, Cheyanne Davis and Clara Herring. Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Herring, Terry Bordenaro, Gary Crymes, Danny Coleman, Ricky Jackson, Eddie Jackson, Leroy Goodman and Jr. Mason. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2008, from 5 PM until 9 PM at the 1st Baptist Church of Collinston. Memorial donations may be made to Leukemia Society of America, Inc., P.O.
