Obituary of Martin Paul " Buddy" Eikert

Funeral services Mr. Martin Paul " Buddy" Eikert, age 70, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Ronaghan officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Mr. Eikert, a retired operation supervisor from International Paper Company after 36 years of service, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a Louisiana State University Alumni. Mr. Eikert was born February 12, 1943 in Vicksburg, MS and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Mr. Eikert is survived by his wife, Ann Kelly Eikert; daughters, Laura Bailey and husband DeWayne of Jena, LA, Tracy O'Quin and husband Michael of Lonepine, LA, Kathleen Adams and husband Jeremy of Bastrop, LA; son, Paul Eikert of Bastrop, LA; seven grandchildren, Caitlin Bailey, Caroline Bailey, Catherine Bailey, Claire Bailey, Morgan Feazell and husband Jason, Ethan DeVille, Isabella Adams; great grandchildren, Ariel Feazell and Aurora Feazell. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Kenneth and Lorraine Eikert and brother, Kenneth Mayo Eikert. Pallbearers will be DeWayne Bailey, Jeremy Adams, Charles Sims, Michael O'Quin, Ron Presley, and Ethan DeVille. Visitation will be held Monday, March 4, 2013 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
