Obituary of Glynn Edward Carter

Funeral services for Mr. Glynn Edward Carter, age 86, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 10 AM Friday, March 8, 2013 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Carlos Trapp officiating. Interment will follow in Carter-Nicholson Cemetery in Bastrop. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 PM until 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Carter, a retired plant operator at commercial solvents(Angus), passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and former long-time member of Southside Baptist Church. He served in the United States Navy with the "Seabees" during World War II and was also a member of the American Legion Post 51 in Bastrop. Mr. Carter is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Odom Carter; his parents, Irving E. and Ruth Bearden Carter, his brother Billy Carter. He is survived by his wife, Sybil Robinson Carter; his daughters, Sue Delaune and husband Jay of Mandeville, LA, Donna Motoishi and husband Michael of Hilo, Hawaii, Kay Hopkins of Oak Grove, LA; step-daughter, Belinda Hooton of Monroe, LA; step-sons, Chris Robinson of Bastrop, LA, Aubrey Robinson of Bastrop, LA, Shawn Robinson of Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Jennifer Cardinal (Ryan), Katie Segrave (Jacob), Sarabeth Accardo (Jay), Michelle Ferreira (Wade), Glynn Motoishi (Marilyn), Will Hopkins, Carter Hopkins; great grandchildren, Aerielle Ferreira, Camille Cardinal, Caroline Cardinal, Kylee Motoishi, Amaya Motoishi, Jillian Accardo, Madeline Kay Hopkins. Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Carter, Jacob Segrave, Jay Accardo, Will Hopkins, Carter Hopkins, Glynn Motoishi. Memorial donations may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home.
