Obituary of Neoma Jones

Funeral service for Neoma Jones, age 96, of Bastrop is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marty Black officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Jones, a homemaker, passed from this life on Monday, October 3,2005 at Morehouse General Hospital. She is survived by her eight children; Audrey Tatum and Fred Atwood of Georgetown, CA, Dorothy Coronado of West Monroe, LA, Calvin Alvester Jones, Sr. of West Monroe, LA, William Clarence Jones, Jr. of West Monroe, LA, Flora Ruth and Rayford Temple of Wills Point, TX, Irine and Travis Taylor of Summit, MS, Arline and Curtis Pope of Downsville, LA, and Elaine Ruff of Bastrop, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. William Clarence Jones, Sr.; a daughter, Mary Ella Spurlock; a son, R.C. Jones; three sons-in-law, A.J. Spurlock, Isaac Coronado and Doyle Ruff. Mrs. Jones has numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family members will be serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2005 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. service time at Golden Funeral Home.
