Graveside funeral services for Mary Frances Pirtle, age 89, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Christ Church Cemetery with Bro. Tim Post officiating.
Mrs. Pirtle passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care. She held many librarian and government office positions throughout the country. Her favorite hobbies were reading the Bible and helping others through charitable giving.
She is survived by two nieces, Lucille Ponton and husband Robert of Drakes Branch, VA, Joann Gardner and husband Chris; two nephews, Bobby Pirtle and wife Kay of Bastrop, LA, Billy Pirtle and wife Beth of Yorktown, VA and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Mrs. Pirtle is preceded in death by her parents, James Alexander Pirtle and Minnie Murray Pirtle.
