Obituary of Margaret Louise Nutt McBroom

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Louise Nutt McBroom, age 73, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Ferris officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. McBroom, a resident of Bastrop and a beautician, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. McBroom was a member of First Assembly of God and attended Faith Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Nutt, Bill Nutt, Dole Nutt; three sisters, Dorothy Anderson, Doris Diamond, and Lavon Bruton; and a brother-in-law, Billy Frith. Mrs. McBroom is survived by her husband, Howard McBroom, Sr.; children, Sherry Parsons and husband Tony of Las Vegas, NV, Shelia Shipman and husband Kelly of Bastrop, LA, Howard McBroom, Jr. and close friend, Sherry Turnbow of Bastrop, LA; two sisters, Joyce Frith and husband Colise of Pollock, LA, Lois Frith of Merryville, LA; two brothers, Donnie Nutt of Conway, AR, Dale Nutt of DeRidder, LA; six grandchildren, Justin and Dustin McBroom, Chad and Shane Leggett, Sierra and Dakota Shipman; and four great grandchildren, Samantha and Hunter Leggett, Adriana McBroom, Carsyn McBroom. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home.
