Obituary of Marie Tawater Langston

Funeral services for Marie Tawater Langston, 84, of Bastrop, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Cal Adams officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 14, 2008 from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Langston passed away March 12, 2008 at St. Francis North Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church and employed for many years by CN Dalton/Tommy Rolfe Insurance and Dr. John Ziegler. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry Walter Langston, Sr. and her parents, Wendell and Carah Tawater. Marie's legacy of love and caring will be carried on by those she loved and adored the most; her family. She is survived by her four children: Dolly Martin of Bastrop, Sharon LaFoy & Joe of Stewart, MS, Henry Langston, Jr. & Sherry of Scott, AR, and Jessie Baskin of Downsville; three grandchildren, Brian Martin & Kim, Brianne Allen & Duffy, all of Bastrop, and Kay Baskin of Crosby, TX; four great grandchildren, Seth & Maurie Grace Allen, Chelsea Lowden, and Kristy Baskin; and one sister, Reba Bryan & Omer of Bastrop. Serving as pallbearers will be Seth Allen, David Bryan, Brad Gregory, Jack Langston, Jr., Kenneth Langston, and Mike Langston. The family wishes to express special thanks to Susan Musgrove and the staff at Oak Woods Home for the Elderly, Dr. Alexander and the PCU 2nd floor staff of St. Francis North Hospital, Dr. Keith White and the CV-ICU staff of Glenwood Regional Hospital, Dr. Greg Sampognaro, and Dr. Charles Morgan.
