Obituary of Ann Spigner

Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Spigner, age 85, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Spigner, a homemaker and resident of Bastrop, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013. She was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her church family. Mrs. Spigner will be remembered for her great love for her family and the wonderful care she showed them.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, William M. "Bill" Spigner; one sister; and seven brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, W.O. "Jack" Spigner; daughter, Paula Mushinski and husband Frank of Bastrop; son, Donald Spigner and wife Bonnie of Bastrop; sister, Inez Taunton and husband Tommy of Strong, AR; brother, Louie Gandy and wife Mary of Alexandria, LA; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; special friends, James and Margaret Cummins, Jim and Sandra Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be; Lynn Sanders, Steve Pearce, Bobby Nugent, Andy Richards, James Mardis and Jerry Deville. The Deacons of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Carter Cox , the staff at Le Grande and the ICU staff at Morehouse General Hospital, especially Tammie.
