Obituary of Fay Cockrell Smith

Graveside services for Mrs. Fay Cockrell Smith, age 78, are scheduled for 1 PM Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. James Thompson officiating. Visitation is scheduled for 5 PM until 8 PM Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith, a homemaker and resident of Bastrop, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013. She was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Wyatt Smith; children, Tammy Smith Little and husband Archie of Bastrop, LA, Shane Smith and wife Carmen of Hamburg, AR; brother, Dosher Cockrell and wife Gloria of Bastrop, LA; twin brother, Ray Cockrell and wife Bobbie of Rison, AR; six grandchildren, Cara Ladd, Jacob Smith, Trent Little, Ty Smith, Genea Little, Tristan "Punky" Smith; five great grandchildren. Dawson Ladd, Daityn Ladd, Dax Ladd, Trevor Smith, Daxe Smith. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her father, Dent Cockrell, her mother, Billie Gregory, her step-mother, Virginia Matthews Perryman. Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Smith, Ty Smith, Trent Little, Hunter Smith, Hunter Thompson, Quint Couey, and Dawson Ladd.
