Obituary of L. W. Wallace

Funeral service for Mr. L.W. Wallace, age 90, of Mer Rouge, LA is scheduled for 10 AM Friday, October 14, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Wallace, retired owner and operator of Polly's Grocery Store, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at Oak Woods Home in Mer Rouge, LA. He is survived by two sons, Lewis Wallace, Jr. and wife Margaret of Beekman, LA, Kenneth Wallace and wife Shirley of Bastrop, LA; eight grandchildren, Cynthia Robinson and husband David, Paula Wallace, Jane Cooper and husband Bryan, Deborah Richter and husband Andy, Paul David Wallace, Jr., Kim McLem, John Wallace, Samantha Dougan and husband Terry and eleven great grandchildren. Mr. Wallace is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Pauline Nations Wallace; son, Paul David Wallace; two sisters, Beck Laborde, Helen Rogers; brother, Cook Wallace and grandson, Todd Wallace. Pallbearers are James Rogers, Jerry Spikes, Wandall Coody, Darrell Wise, Doug Nations and Frankie Williams. Visitation will be Thursday, October 13, 2005 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
