Obituary of Lillian R. Boyd

Lillian R. Boyd began her journey on October 19, 1926 and passed from this life on May 16, 2013 at the age of 86. "Miss Lil" served in the Morehouse Clerk of Courts office for 33 1/2 years. She was sworn in as Chief Deputy Clerk under Austin T. Goodnight on July 1, 1976. Mrs. Boyd served as the Clerk of Court for the 4th Judicial District Courts of Morehouse Parish from July 1, 1992 through June 30, 1996. She really enjoyed her years of service to the people of this parish. Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Henry C. Boyd, Sr.; her parents, Seaborn Rainbolt and Gladys Holloway Rainbolt; one sister Lena Rainbolt; three brothers, A.C. Rainbolt, David Rainbolt, and Henry Allen Rainbolt. She is survived by her children, Henry C. Boyd, Jr. and wife Patricia Jordan Boyd, Bobby W. Boyd and wife Audrey Savage Boyd, Carolyn Boyd Guthrie and husband Alan Guthrie; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Shannon Boyd, Jamie Eppinette, Jason Freeman, Derrick Ghaedi, Morgan Ghaedi and Charles Baxter. The family will be receiving friends at Golden Funeral Home on Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Services will be held at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Waymon Swain officiating. Interment will follow in Bartholomew Cemetery.
